I was thrilled to be asked by Thames Con to create the official Dark Crystal poster for The Great Con-Junction, a Dark Crystal convention held this past weekend at Elstree Studios outside London. The A3 sized poster was available as an event-exclusive only for attendees. (I will not have prints, it was created just for the event.)
The intention behind my design was to offer it in two orientations (horizontal and vertical, both shown here) with lots of airy space around the image to accommodate room for signatures from the many impressive guest puppeteers and performers in attendance. I would have loved to have been there myself, but I’m happy to have been a part of it in my own little way! 🥰
Thanks very much to The Jim Henson Company and especially to Zay at Thames Con for inviting me to work on this piece for a film I’ve loved since I was a kid. It was a dream come true! I’m certain the Great Con-Junction event itself left many feeling similarly starry-eyed! 🤩
